HUNTINGTON -- For Brian and Sephra Faulknier the gift of giving is something they want to instill in their son, Laken at an early age.
The family recently had a birthday party for their 15-month-old son. As an alternative of receiving gifts at the party, on the invitations they requested that new teddy bears be given to donate to the Huntington charity Hugs of Hope.
Fred and Amber Kitchen, founders of Hugs of Hope said in a written statement, "We were pleasantly surprised and very impressed when the Faulknier family contacted and visited us to make the donation. The donation will aid in providing teddy bears to local hospices, fire and rescue, police, pediatric units, our funeral home, etc., anywhere a child is hurting or experiencing fear.
