BBC News Reporter and Film Crew to Interview Local Funeral Director For International Documentary
BBC News reporter Lena Ferguson and a film crew are scheduled to come the United States, Huntington, West Virginia to interview local funeral home owner and director. The BBC contacted Fred Kitchen with Henson Mortuary, Huntington, near Barboursville to interview him for a one hour international documentary that will be aired on the rising obesity problem in America and how funeral service is adjusting and assisting families as they experience the concerns and limitations associated with obesity and death. According to Lena Ferguson of the BBC News “We researched the internet and contacted funeral homes in the Huntington, WV area and Fred Kitchen and Henson Mortuary was the only funeral home to have the level of experience and expertise that Fred had dealing with casket manufacturing and the growing challenges for funeral homes and families regarding the increase obesity and death.” While working in local funeral service for many years, prior to joining Henson Mortuary, Fred worked 6.5 years for North America’s largest casket, urn and memorial supplier and manufacturer, Batesville Casket Company as a sales and business consultant and training funeral directors in WV, VA, OH, and KY which makes him best suited for the documentary. Henson Mortuary is located on East Pea Ridge Road Huntington, near Barboursville. You can visit them online at www.hensonmortuary.com .
