KNOW YOUR OPTIONS REGARDING FUNERALS AND CREMATION - PART # 3
Part # 3
THE FUNERAL OR MEMORIAL CAN BE AS UNIQUE AS THE INDIVIDUAL YOU ARE HONORING.
The ultimate aspiration at the conclusion of the funeral, memorial, or cremation process, would be that friends and family have complete closure and feel at peace with all decisions made. Retaining an emotionally healthy and balanced life after loss is vital for every individual.
My wife lost her father to cancer a few years ago. She and her family have advised me repeatedly that they are well satisfied with how they chose to honor their loved one. The service they planned was as unique as was the life of their loved one. The service was what I have coined a “hybrid funeral service”. The service encompassed strong traditional values, yet it was very personal, embraced personalization and was unique and unlike any other service, we had ever attended. It truly was personal and meaningful.
It encompassed many forms of personalization. They chose to honor to his life accomplishments. Although he would be greatly missed, the family truly felt completely at peace with his passing and how they chose to honor their loved one.
